GRAFUG Meeting November 11, 2006
Greetings!! Thanks to everyone who attended the GRAFUG meeting this month. I hope to see you all back at our December 9th meeting, same place, same time.
December’s meeting is our election meeting! So come prepared to vote and volunteer! Also, if you have any suggestions of who would be a great speaker for us to try to bring in next year, please come with suggestions.
In Fox news, Sedna was released as a free test download. Some have reported issues with the new download, so keep in mind this isn’t production usage yet. There have been some enhancements to the report writer in this release, so for everyone who has not set up all the report listeners, you might want to get your hands on this and play around.
VFP9.X is a set of developer tools which will help you enhance VFP 9. Check them out at: http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=VFPX
Did you know one out of every three bug fixes introduces a new bug? Well, you do if you attended the meeting! Cathy Pountney expounded on the foundations of testing your application, as well as the reasons to (and not to) fix issues and when.
Juicy tidbit for those who missed the meeting: With/Endwith has been discovered to cause c5 crashes when your program jumps out of the with! There may be unresolved clean up issues which come to bite you later.
For those of you who haven’t played around with FoxUnit, now is the time to head to the vision pace website and check out the product for yourselves.
Our next meeting is Saturday, December 9th, at 10:00 AM to 12 pm. Our next meeting is officer elections!
Officer positions include:
